Hi

I recently got GTX 780 3 gb (ZOTAC) .. While playing games it sometimes freezes + a buzzing sound from the speakers. and this cycle goes on.

I'm running the latest Stable Drivers.

I just want to make sure its not a Hardware issue.

And also is my Power Supply Unit is good enough to meet the needs.

I did a Clean driver install using DriveSweeper it was fine for a day i didnt get freezes in game. and suddenly today while playing assassins creed 4 it froze and crash.

In the Event Logger it shows as Event ID 14 nvlddmkm couldnt be found.

GPU is 3 days old..I want to make sure its not a Hardware issue. Unless the PSU is not sufficient. Please help me find the culprit.

System Specs:

i7 3770k +H100i HeatSink.
16gb Ram DDR3 1333Mhz
Zotac GTX780 3gb
1x 240gb SSD, 2Tb HDD,2x 1TB Hdd, 500GB HDD.
Corsair TX850V PSU.
Win 7 x64

Install MSI afterburner & monitor your gpu temp & fan speed. Exactly what happened to me with my old GTX 460 - got too hot because the fans we not spinning fast enough.

Sorry forgot to add that part.
Yeah i Do monitor with the MSI After Burner.
Temps go upto 79-80c.. They float there. No issues In that matter... For few other games they float around 70-74x. I got freezes even when playing games like Dota2. My GPU temps were around 58c.. and it doesnt use a lot of resource. that happened just once. I changed the Power Mode to Performance ll keep this Sheet updated.

Also planning to try out the new Beta Drivers.

With water coolers there is less air movement over your mobo. As things start working harder/hotter you may be getting into components on your mobo over heating. Do you have a fan you can point towards your mobo for testing?

I use HAF 932 . One of the Fans blows air directly onto the GPU and MoBo.
