Ram; 2x 2GB
Problem started after I noticed my laptop getting pretty hot during C&C. So I shut down. Upon trying to reboot, nothing.
So I started going through all the things I thought it could be. It came down to the ram. I assumed I had one dodgy stick, however after trying another stick I had lying around I noticed that ALL my ram worked, but if I put a stick in DIMM 2. The laptop would not boot.
There's no dust or bits blocking the connectors, So I cant really figure it out. The laptops under warranty but the guy on the phone said "We can send you a 4gb stick" - well no, I'd rather have a working laptop.
Any suggestion ? Could this be a simple fix or do you think the slot has died.
