Hi guy's
Please help, I recently replaced my disc drive and my power supply with another ps3 that was broken and now I've got the one ps3 up and running and works well but It doesn't reed my discs and when I want to log in to the psn network or in to you tube the screen goes blank and the ps3 freezes.

Hi,
Try the following as a solution for the buggy browser.

Safe Mode Option #3 : Restore File System:
What Option # 3 Does: Attempts to repair all areas on the hard disk drive where files can be saved. Corrupted data may be erased if it cannot be recovered. This option may also be successful in fixing issues where the system freezes in relation to the XMB, loading game or downloaded content, installing game or firmware data, etc.

You will need to enter Safe Mode and restore the system as follows:
1. Hold down the power button in front so you get a solid red light (stand by mode) & make sure no disc is inside.
2. Next, hold down the power button until you hear 3 beeps. You will hear a beep, a pause, a 2nd beep, followed by two really...

3. Let go right after the third beep.
4. On the screen it will ask you to pair your controller. Plug in the controller to pair it or hit the PS button.
5. From the list of available choices, choose option 3 to restore the PS3 file system. No data on the HDD will be erased.

As for the disc drive you replaced. Are you certain that it worked on the broken PS3?
