Hey all, I am currently looking at upgrading the PCs in work since they only have on board graphics at the moment.

I have 1600mhz 8GB memory coming for each of them too and they run Win 7 64-bit.

They use small factor PCs and low profile cards fit in them fine.
The office works heavily in:
Adobe Photoshop (Currently crashes and goes slow using 500mb documents)
Adobe InDesign
AutoCAD (Gets frequent crashes when working on large scale drawings)

I have a £50 budget for graphics card per PC and was looking at the 2GB GT630 (LINK) which is just under £50. I was looking for any advice before I go ahead and buy to ensure that these cards will help with workflow for the price.

Please let me know what you think and if you need any more info

if your going with nvidia cards look to see how many cuda cores the cards have. the low end cards with 32 or 64 cores are about as strong as the onboard video. cards like the 550 ti have a lot more cores and are better under work loads. also look at your pc power supply a lot of gpu have 400w min to keep them from locking up or shutting down a pc when under load. when thing you did not post is the cpu of your office pcs. if there older 775 cpu you may want to think about replacing the pc.

Here is the computer model: LINK

They are the model using i5 2400 CPU's.

I totally forgot to take the PSU into consideration since I thought low profile cards wouldn't require a lot. I initially went with Nvidia since I have had people tell me they have better overall performace due to their cuda cores whereas Radeon focus mainly on gaming. (Not sure if this is true or not).

The page also states that they can only support 1333mhz memory SDRAM but I recently added 1333mhz DDR3 ram the other day and it worked fine. I was going to order the new 1600mhz memory since I used the motherboard scanner from crucial and it said that this board can support it.
