I have a PC at home with Windows 7. I have accesed the internet via my LG Smart phone wifi hotspot with no problem for several months. Recently I started having problems with the internet, not a connection problem as it still shows a strong signal at 5 bars on the PC. But now most pages will not load and the progress indicator just keeps spinning when I try to access a web page. Some pages load right away others not at all. It does not matter what browser I use. On the other hand my tablets work fine with no trouble accessing the internet. All of my drivers are up to date as well as Windows updates. It shows connection at 56 MBS as in the past. I did notice that it does not seem to be sending or receiving packets when idle at the rate it did in the past. Any ideas?

I would go into your network control panel, "manage wireless networks," delete your network, restart your PC, allow it to detect the signal, select it and enter the security key. This often help fix this sort of issue, assuming all hardware is working properly.

Hello and thank you for the tip. It did not solve it however. What is odd is that some web sites like msn, gmail, my bank and a few more work fine. I can search for something in google and it will display the links. But when I click on them it just keeps searching with no loading of that web page. And it does the same thing whether I am using Google, Chrome, Internet explorer or Mozilla. Definitely has something to do with the PC as my other devices (tablets) work fine.

I am facing exactly the same problem. Did you find a solution?

I noticed this problem after recent update of my HTC One to the new Android OS Version 4.4.2, HTC Sense Version 5.5, Software number 4.19.401.11.

Any help would be appreciated.

The problem seem to be resolved by changing the DNS IP Address on my WiFi Adapter to use Google Public DNS Servers:

- 8.8.8.8
- 8.8.4.4

So far, it is working fine.
