Hi everyone,

This issue has been driving me batsh!t crazy past 2 days so I'd really appreciate some help here.

Since like 2 days ago, all of a sudden, my PC began to disconnect constantly and have very slow internet speed. I originally thought it was the router problem but I tested other devices on the same network and it worked completely fine.

Right now, it disconnects on the pc every 10 min and speed tops out at 1 Mbps. Other devices do not ever drop wifi and they keep up 28 Mbps constantly.

I am using Win 7 home premium, x64 i5 quad core with TP-Link N750 router and TP-Link WN822-N USB wireless adapter.

I've tried all the basics from updating the drivers, reinstalling, checking windows updates, virus scans, firewall off etc etc.

Browsers don't seem to be the problem, but I use Chrome.

Side things to note, there was a windows update after turning off the PC 2days ago but I'm not sure if that happened after the wifi slowdown.

Oddly enough, upload speed seems to be fine...
Thanks and I appreciate all the help.

Update1:

I've tried changing channel from 11 to 1 but nothing has changed. Speedtest results are now at abysmal 0.5 Mbps. All my other devices such as laptops and phones at the same distance from the router, is +25 Mbps. What can I do ? Please help!!

One thing that often can help is to move your wireless adapter -- you can attach it to a 15 foot USB extension cable and place it in other locations until you find one with a better signal. Having it attached to a computer sitting in the corner reduces the available signal.

Also, download the free home version of inSSIDer (a wifi analyzer) from HERE, run it and check the network tab for strong signals by channel that may be interfering with you.
