SLC, MLC or TLC

Hi my job is about Life Duration and Reliability
because i'm not always sure about what the memory usb stick are made off
I'm looking for a way to distinguish those three kings of technologies with a software.

does any one know a software to do this ?

most ssd are mlc, samsung 840 and 840 evo is tlc, slc never saw mass adoption because it was quite pricy. there are a few enterprise solutions with e-mlc which is probably what you are looking for which is a higher endurance mlc.

other than looking at the exact specs there is no way to tell...

and i always ask myself: is the technology of the sticks i receive the one i buy ?
so i wonder if there was a solution to be sure that it's TLC or MLC

no software as far as i know. but the only ssd-s with tlc are the 840 (non pro) and the 840 evo. (the evo you don't even know it's tlc because it has a section reserved and used on slc mode) so speed wise it works as fast as slc for the first about 5-10gb.

i don't exactly know how any of these apply to usb memory sticks...
