I currently bought a computer with windows 8 in it. but I wanna use both without using virtual box and without cutting some of my ram to add in virtual box. I've seen some dual boot videos and stuff. but I was wondering if I bought a new hard drive, plugged it in the computer, will I be able to install it mac os x into the new harddrve? Then I could decide wich hard drive to boot from?

More about : windows mac

Maybe - maybe not. I'm not going to try to guess what hardware you have.

Your best bet is to look on one of the specialist Hackintosh sites (or even read the many, many threads on the subject on this forum - starting with the first sticky at the head of the forum).

Tell me your specs. If you have an Intel core, you have a better chance of being able to install mac. try using iDeneb for installing Mac OS X. to set up a boot up selection screen, get EasyBCD. Download from here.
https://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/
select non commercial at the bottom of the screen, and then register, and you are all set.

try iDeneb, I do not know if this will work, but it worked on one of my older PC's.
here is a link to a guide. Make sure to have spare blank cd's.

Good Luck! =D
p.s. Remember to backup your computer hard drive if there is anything important
