Hello everyone, I'm James under the nick JamedNano.

This will be my first time building a PC. I want it to be cool to look at and full gaming and video editing. So I'm quite concerned that ill make some bad judgement on some of the components I pre picked to make part in this PC build... And I'm looking for some help.

So my pre build is this one:

Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z87
CPU: i5 4670K
RAM: 8Gb(4x2) HyperX Beast series DDR3 1600
G.Card: R9 270X (It as a BTF4 with it if i buy it until the end of this month. The price on this store for the Card is 277$ with the game included)
HDD: 1Tb... any will do. I don't know that much of HDD's so if you guys can point me in a good for price ratio deal would be cool.
P.Supply: Builder Series VS600/650
Case: K 281 Plus (with red leds) It as 3 Vents, 1 on the back, 1 on the front and a slot for 1 on its side which i will buy a part from the case, all 120mm.
Cooling system: I don't want water cooling, i had a bad experience once with my old pre built bought... But i will want to overclock a bit, maby from 3.4 to 3.8 or 4.0 if that is even possible with that CPU, for 3 to 4 days a week don't want to over do it... So a good air system would be nice. And for what i already saw about the board it as excellent air flow.

That is my build so far. I already have an 23" LCD (1900x1080 Res) a mouse a keyboard, etc...

The Build is mainly for gaming at a nice fps rate mid-high or high-high, ultra not necessary (With and without recording, ill be recording and editing some stuff so i need a good fps rate for that)

My big Q is "Intel" or "AMD" CPU's? and will i be satisfied with this build? Please all the help is welcome, I'm a new comer to a PC Builders world so fell free to give advice's and some tips on what to pick and how to pick.

Tnhx in advanced.

You will be satisfied with this build and it has a lot of overclocking potential if you buy an aftermarket cooler such as the Hyper Evo 212, any Intel CPU with the 'k' is overclockable and you will definitely be getting a solid FPS with that graphics card at 1080p on all games. Oh, and Intel vs AMD... I have an AMD FX 6300 and it does nothing wrong, it's perfect for me. AMD has more cores but they are weaker, and Intel has less cores but much more powerful ones, Intel has the edge in gaming but comes with a higher price tag. Although I agree you can get a more powerful GPU and a cheaper motherboard and it would be better for gaming.

I do not live in America. But its true that the price is high. its 203€ from where i live even converting it comes in a high price. But it comes with Battel Field 4 so i was cosidering it.

For the Mobo i also considered the GENE or Hero... is about 50-80$ cheaper but i fear the diference compared with the Sab z87 + its a good price for a board with this type of thermal armor, i think.

The barracuda HDD sounds interesting. Are those sites trustwordy? srry the question but i had a realy bad expirience once buying stuff online... Altough i would save around 200$ if i do so in the entier build... Atleast for what i have seen on the coments in other questions here on TomH's

What mobo would you sujest? despite the price ofc... I do want peformance above all coz i know 100$ boards can pass 200$ in certain aspects if they are specf. for this or that. In a gaming invironment what board do you guys recomend?

About the the G.Card... I do not want ultra settings in my games... And i never overclocked a Card before D: so i did not even considered that. Isn't it dangerous? more than OCing a cpu?

Very sorry for not replying, I haven't been emailed about your reply and have been very busy lately, are you still needing any advice or is everything sorted now?

I'm good i will go with an Extreme 4 or an MSI Gaming G45. I will go to a local Tec store to get advice and probably buy the PC today ;D
