Rig :
MSI Z68MA-G45
i5 2500(non K)
XFX HD 7970 Ghz
8GB DDR3 Ram
Corsair TX750 PSU

For some reason when playing games my computer would randomly shut down and power itself back up again? I'm not sure I'm getting a BSOD or not. My CPU temps were 50C on each core and GPU at 60C while running Prime95 + Furmark or OCCT at the same time for around 10 minutes each. No errors anywhere. I get this on Dota 2, LOL, Tomb Raider but not Battlefield 4?
I recently upgraded my PSU to the TX750 from my old Lepa N500 to see if it would fix the issue but the results are the same. It can't be the power supply since this is a brand new one I just hooked up an hour ago.
I never had this issue before started happening a few days ago. I just spent $100 on a new power supply and it didn't even fix my issue :/

Might be a BIOS issue. Try popping out the CMOS battery for about a minute with the PC unplugged, then pop it back in.

A lot of the time, a 0 will turn into a 1 or vice-versa and the BIOS get's something wrong, and a reset helps that. Let me know what that does.

I updated the BIOS already and I don't think thats the issue. But I'll try it.

Updating and resetting are different things. This kind of thing is usually a problem with the PSU, but in this situation, I'm more inclined to think motherboard, since you've already swapped the PSU

I reset the bios and it resulted in the same. In Tomb Raider I played for around 2 minutes and it shutoff. Could be the motherboard. I can return the PSU and swap it for a motherboard on Newegg. But I played with onboard graphics removing the GPU and it ran fine but of course its low fps since its just a HD 2000 so I'm going to try to reinstall drivers with DriverSweeper.

Yeah, it could be the GPU, but the GPU going bad usually throws a BSOD, but not always.

It would suck, but you can try restoring Windows system files, that way the restore won't destroy your data at least

Welp. It would suck a lot but it isn't the GPU. I ran Furmark again for another 15minutes. It ran flawlesss without any crashes. Furmark pushes the GPU more than Tomb Raider or BF4 does I assume since 65C is the highest temps i ever got on this card. Its likely going towards the motherboard but I'm going to swap with my brothers 7870 and see if the same thing happens

Turns out it was the GPU. Just got XFX to RMA it. Thanks for the help anyways. Appreciate it.
