I recently put together a pc and it doesn't start into the bios and the monitor doesn't reconize the connection and just goes to sleep. The only problem I can think of is I need to plug my monitor into the graphics card. Plz help !!! Thx :)

Solution
That's what I'm trying to tell you. The MB video requires an APU with built-in graphics. Your Athlon doesn't have that. That is why you get no display. You have to install a gfx card and connect the monitor to it. Not to the MB.

You will get a display if there is nothing else wrong, yes. I guarantee you won't get a display if you keep your monitor plugged into the MB video though. Do you have an OS installed, or are you just trying to see if the PC will boot to BIOS?

As clutchc said, your system won't give you a signal until you plug the monitor into the graphics card. If you still don't get a display after you plug the monitor into the GPU then you can perform all the steps in this checklist to determine what's causing the problem.
