Hello,

I recently purchased two monitors of the VG248QE model.

The graphic card on my computer is this Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 21197-99-40G.

As you can see, it has one DVI-D Dual Link port, one HDMI port and two Mini-Display ports.

Currently, my first VG248QE is plugged in the DVI-D port and I can obtain 144hz right out of the Windows 7 screen resolution options.

The second monitor, however, is plugged in one of the Mini-Display ports (because I had a cable for it) however I can only obtain up to 60hz.

What can I do to obtain 144hz on both monitors with my current card?

Thank you.

Both DP and DVI for that monitor support up to 144Hz. (HDMI only 60Hz)

The manual says you only support beyond 60Hz (85/120/144) at 1920x1080. So if the 2nd monitor is at 1920x1080 you should have the option for 144Hz.

Or just use another DVI cable. Did you not get one?

DisplayPort isn't going to add any functionality for you, so just use both DVI cables if that works fine.

*There also seems to be a DRIVER for this monitor: https://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/VG248QE/#support

Drivers for monitors simply tell Windows their basic specs. Most people don't seem to need them though, and I don't think you need them. There's a WHQL (probably not needed), one for NVidia 3D (only if using NVidia 3D product) and I don't know what MultiFrame is.

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, my graphic card only has one DVI port.
