Hey everyone,

I had what I assume is a quick question. I recently built a computer and realized that my case has a front panel USB 3.0 slot, which was a pleasant surprise as it's not advertised as such, but my motherboard, which does have two USB 3.0 slots in the back panel, does not seem to have a connection for the cable that comes from the case front panel, so I'm wondering what my options are at this point short of switching out for a new MOBO.

Case:

MOBO:

Thanks in advance guys!

Cheers,
Cory

You could contact the company you bought it off and tell you want to exchange it for a H81M-HDS and offer to pay the difference... it would be a waste of money if you bought a new board

Thanks guys! Yeah, it's hard to tell from the pic, but that area is just nubs and not actually pins. I was looking up converters and I'll probably go that route. I was looking at those options and I think I might go for the PCI card since it'll add a couple USB ports as well. Appreciate it!

Glad to help! I think that's the best route also, cause once I started to see the benifits of 3.0 it wasn't long till I was running short of ports.
