I'm trying to install windows 7 ultimate, but i keep getting the error "setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. see setup log files for more information."
I have deleted all the partitions and created a new one.. and that didnt seem to work..
So i looked up solutions and i think iv tried practically everything...
So i tried doing this...
DiskPart <ENTER>
list disk <ENTER>
select disk 0 <ENTER>
clean all <ENTER>
create partition primary align=1024 <ENTER>
format fs=ntfs <ENTER>
assign <ENTER>
active <ENTER>
exit <ENTER>
exit <ENTER>
So done the "diskpart" command in cmd and have cleaned the hardrive and created a new partition and i have formatted it to NTFS etc.
I have also activated the partition.

I have changed my bios system boot order settings to USB (I'm using a usb to install windows7)
iv tried a few other solutions but i cant seem to remember them, I am quite smart with computers.. but i have absolutely no idea what to do.. iv been sitting at this computer for about 4 days trying to fix it and still i get the same error again and again and its getting quite annoying..
my system information:
HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
Bios Version : F.01
Total memory : 4GB
Hard drive 1T
^ that's all I could get of my system information.
also the computer was originally on windows 7 home premium
