So basically guys my old laptop broke so I bought a USB HDD enclosure. It worked fine except it was showing up as internal storage so I tried deleting all the partitions and now I can't see it on My Computer to reformat it. It is showing up in device manager and I tried using a program to recover the partitions, the drive was showing up but the partitions could not be recovered and it said all the capacity is unallocated space. Can anyone help me by telling how to get it to show up in Windows again?

I cant recall ever being able to format a drive from device manager. Please run diskmgmt.msc and look for your drive, be sure to scroll all the way down the drive listing as an un-lettered drive will be at the bottom and if you have a muliticard reader there might be quite a few letters used up ahead of it.

You're right. I meant disk management. I was even looking at it when I posted earlier. I apologize.
