Hello, so I'm trying to filter a Mac address from my router, but I have yet to figure it out on this router. Basically one of the kids in my house keeps giving the neighbor our password and I want to block his Mac address. Its my understanding that this router doesn't filter Mac address and that I can only add the devices I want to connect to the router through an access point. My problem with that is not every device is on all the time to connect to the router and for me to filter them in. Is there a way with this net gear wndr3400v2 to filter or block one address without having to add all of my families devices to my router?

Unfortunately, Netgear takes the opposite approach, only allowing access to MAC addresses added to the access list. That is painful nowadays with all the phones and tablets and stuff.

How about this one: Change your password and give it to everyone except the offending family member (unless you don't know who it is). Perhaps a week or two without Internet access will help them understand that it is your network.

You can use your QoS rules by MAC address to give very low bandwidth to the uninvited user and to block important services for them, which could make access pretty useless. Take a look at your manual on how to set up priority rules by MAC address.
