Do I need to update my BIOS?

Just finished putting together my first build and I can't get a display to work. I've tried VGA and HDMI outputs and but my monitor just tells me that there is no input detected. There are no beeps. Lights come on, fans spinning, and HDD spinning as well. I've tried both outputs on the Mobo and the GPU no luck. I've tried unplugging the GPU and running off just the Mobo. RAM is properly installed. Unplugged the computer and held the power for 30 seconds. So I'm a little fresh out of ideas here. Although I have an inkling I need to update my BIOS based on my build. Here it is...

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory

Storage: OCZ Vertex 2 90GB 2.5" Solid State Disk

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB Video Card

Wireless Network Adapter: Rosewill RNX-N300X 802.11b/g/n PCI Wi-Fi Adapter

Case: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M 1000W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:
Well as it turns out I did forget to plug in the 8 pin power connector. So I plugged that in but I am still getting the same results.

Spooky I don't have another cpu that I can try out but I am tossing around the possibility that I didn't put the cpu in right. Is that possible?

Update 2:
I removed everything and reinstalled it all piece by piece starting with barebones and had zero luck. Currently all the lights cone on, the fans all spin, but there are no beeps and there is no output to the screen. Any suggestions?

Solution
If all else fails, try resetting the BIOS. Completely unplug the comp and take the small round battery out of the MB for 10 or 15 mins. If you can boot up after that, immediately boot into BIOS and set optimized defaults and set up anything else in the BIOS that needs to be set.

Try one stick of memory at a time in each slot and see if that makes a difference.

You can always pull the CPU out and reinstall it. Plus make sure all the power connectors are installed right and tight. And the CPU cooler fan should be installed into the CPU fan header.

Tried those so I guess I'll try pulling the cpu and putting it back in.

Make sure that the screen cables are plugged all the way in, on both sides. I spent 2 days and a trip to Best Buy with the same issue, only to discover my screen cable wasnt plugged all the way in (the DVI end of the cable was a bit reluctant). I made sure to shove it all the way in and everything worked perfectly. Since as far as you can tell the computer is working fine (the board isnt giving you any angry beeps/lights) then it might just be this
