Powersupply does not have 8 pin for CPU

Hi. My motherboard has an 8 pin connector on it for the CPU. But My psu does not have a 8 pin. It has one 4 pin. Could I just use the 4 pin? I have intel core i7 4770k. Gigabyte ga z87 hd3. And a 560 ti. ((500W psu))

WHICH 500W PSU? you can't just say 500W. it could really be a 300W
