Hello,
I recently bought a new graphics card(ati radeon hd 4850) i have bought and connected all the necessary components, but when i plug my monitor into the dvi port(through an adapter), and turn the computer on, the monitor goes to sleep, i plug the VGA cable into my MoBo and it works perfectly fine, except the computer does not recognize the graphics card. I have scoured the internet forums and tried almost everything i have read to no avail, my BIOS settings do not give me the option to disable the integrated card, which is what alot of the forums said should be done, i think actually that i've found that my BIOS setup is alot different from the normal set up, having none of the options that said forums suggested to change, so if anyone could walk me through the process or give ANY other suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.
I am running an Hp compaq 6005 pro sff MoBo and a 450w psu(brand new) which according to my research should be plenty for this card, but of course i could be wrong.

What adapter do you have? Most digital to analog adapters don't work.

Those ports break all the time, try RMAing it.
