Ivy budge cpu

Hello guys quick question I was going to pick up an ivy in 3770 non k and don't overclock. I was told the past under the ihs will go bad within 3 years, I want a solid cpu for longer tha that. What do you guys think. I don't want to delid

Sorry for the bad title, auto correct on my phone, I want to go with the 3770 and hyper 212 plus but worried the past under the ihs will dry out and kill the chip

it will take a year or two for the paste to dry and make ur cpu overheat and die

u will not need to delid the cpu is fine at stock speeds

OK I have a sandy bridge i7 that's 3 years old in my other rig and still think another 3 years easy so I was just wondering if it's the same for ivy despite all the bad paste talk

sandy bridge is still a good cpu line and ivy is just a little hotter and a sandy bridge will last for aonther 3-4years

Right I agree sandy is a great cpu but my other rig needs new one and I want to know if ivy will last as long as sandy

because people say diffent things and theramal paste will wear out in year it will take year and couple of months

I appreciate the input skitz and I don't mean to be annoying with all the questions but with what your saying, my 3770 paste will dry out in two years and be done? I just want to make sure if I spend $300 on another cpu that it lasts a good 5 or 6 years at least

The CPU will last for at least 3 years, but you might have to change the heatsink thermal paste after 2-3 years.
No need to delid.

Right but the heat paste I'm talking about is under the ihs and cannot be changed without delidding, the sandy bridge cpus were soldered to ihs
