When my computer is in setup for windows 8, it shows " Your media driver your computer needs is missing" but my DVD reader shows up in the bios, along with and ssd and HDD, what is the problem?

Solution
yeah you need sata drivers. Or set your HDD from sata/ahci to IDE mode in the BIOS.

There should be an option to load drivers. AT that point, put in the motherboard disk and find the drivers.

Honestly, i don't know much about this issue as I've never had it before but one of my friends have.

You should be able to install windows without any drivers if you're using an IDE drive. But you may want to check whats in the CD that came with your motherboard and if there is anything that CAN be installed.

"A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard Disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD, or USB flash with the driver on it, please insert now.

Note: If the installation media for windows is on the DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it for this step."

I am using a DVD to install Windows.

There is a browser option to find the drivers, but only This PC, which has nothing on it, and Boot (X:) are on the browse menu
