im building a gaming RIG but i havent decided which motherboard to get.

-CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

-GPU:EVGA GeForce GTX 690 4GB Video Card

-Water Cooling:Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

-Memory:G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2666 Memory

-Case:NZXT Phantom 820 (Grey) ATX Full Tower Case

-PowerSupply: Corsair Professional 850W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX

-Dual Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk For Raid

well, you'll get no future updates out of an intel board... if you get two generations of cpus on the same socket you're doing good. unfortunately you won't get that on the z87 chipset. intel is releasing the lga z97 chipset with the haswell refresh and those chips, just like broadwell which will follow it, won't work with lga 1150 z87 boards.

find something in the $150 range and be happy.

yep. but you don't need two 780s for 1 screen unless it's a 4k resolution screen; frankly you really don't need two 770s for one screen either. but since you picked a 690 (which is really two 680s in sli on the same board) i figured you had a good reason for all that gpu power.

Ok so what should be a good price for a motherboard for gaming. That's good for future upgrades
