My internet keeps booting me off :(

I'm having this problem where every 30 mins or so my internet will kick me off (usually when im playing a game, go figure). it happens on both my laptop and desktop so im thinking its the router or possibly my modem? anyways its extremely annoying all it does it kick me off then it says no internet access for a few seconds and then reconnects, im not really sure what to look for ive done a few google searches but I cant find anything that helps..... I've tried turning the router off and on again and disabling windows from turning off my network adapter to save power under power options. Not sure where to continue trouble shooting.

my desktop is with the Ethernet cord and my laptop is with wireless signal from router. BTW not sure if related but I cant log in to ANY site using google chrome for some reason. downloading malwarebytes now. I cant even log in to this site, im having to do this in IE lol

ok im currently plugged directly into the modem and am the only device on it. it usually occurs when im playing something so ill start something up and make sure its using the internet to see if it kicks me off

It didn't seem to lose connection, usually when it loses connection it'll take a couple of minutes to reconnect but when it boots me off like it usually does it only takes a few seconds for my PC to reconnect to it. Also the signal lights on my modem never blink on and off from max signal when this happens.
