I just finished building my first computer and when i turn it on all the lights on the computer come on, however i get no signal on my tv (yes im using a TV as a monitor with an HDMI cord.) I know its not the HDMI cord as it is the same one i use on my PS3. I checked all the wiring and power and everything is plugged in, including the cpu power. If anyone has any idea on what could be the solution please post.

SPECS

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X series 4GB DDR3

Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35

CPU: AMD Athlon

HDD: 1TB WD blue internal hard drive

Graphics card: GT 430

Display: 22' Dynex TV

OS: none yet (will be windows 7)

UPDATE (1/7/2014): I plugged the VGA cord into the graphics card and it no longer is telling me no signal but there is what appears to be a 9 in the bottom right corner of the screen, the rest is just a solid black background.

I would use a monitor however i dont have the money to get one.

Also i have no idea what you mean by "Is there a sound signal of passing POST?"

I am not plugging it into the graphics card though, i'm plugging it right into the mother board. I also just tried using a VGA cable instead of the HDMI and that doesn't show any video either.

Ok try this:

Take the card out of the PC and install a old card or run from motherboard graphics and boot.

Then uninstall all drivers and software which relate to the GPU (GT 430).

Then go on the mobo website and get the latest bios updates for your mobo then install them in the bios. (If you don't know how to flash the bios google it or google your motherboard and see if there is a tutorial for your mobo)

After you update your bios. Install all the drivers with from the Nvidia website for the GT 430 after its all done reinstall your the GPU and you should be up and running! :ange:

See if you can boot in 'safe mode' If that doesn't work I'm not sure how to resolve this problem without getting another GPU and seeing if that works then do as I said above!
