ALL MSI 970 boards are crappy.
But their 990FX boards are good.
They just try to cheap out to much on their low cost boards.
i have tried all, all are good.
but for value for money, i would go with asrock, they have cheaper models but good design and build overall.
of course, if you buy low end models, don't expect much. better components (and overall build) are used in higher priced ones

+1 more for Asrock on a budget and asus at the high end. Gigabyte is good in the middle with MSI if your buying a newer board they used to not be as reliable
