Use onboard (P8Z77-V) audio or Audigy 2?

Hi,

Can anyone advise which audio device is better? The onboard audio chip on my ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard or my Audigy 2 card?

Currently using the Audigy 2 but only because of old habits, and seems pointless if the onboard is better.

Easy answer with all things audio You have to just listen to each and decide for yourself which one sounds better....


Personally, I've found all "add-on" sounds to be a waste. Just that a TOS Link or S/PDIF output off your motherboard, connected it to your favorite D/A (for 2 channel) or Surround sound processor (for theater n surround) and go....
