Hi Everyone

I bought my new Gaming rig October last yeear, here are the specs:

Cooler Master Haf 912 Chassis
Biostar HI-FI H87S3+ Motherboard
XFX 650 watt power supply
Intel core i5 4670
Corsair Vengeance 8 Gig Ram
Msi GTX 760 Twin Frozr GPU

I Started working last year and saved up for a better gaming pc. this year i can't just put all my money into a new pc so i waswondering if it will work to upgrade part for part?

I don't want to get behind with computers like my last one, my last computer was like 4 years old.

My plan is to save up on money and buy a new motherboard AND CPU in about 5 months time(looking at the asus maximus vi gene and gigabyte G1 Sniper M5 Z87) and intel core i7 4771. Lets say after another 5 or 7 months i will have enough for a new GPU, Im looking at a Nvidia Geforce gtx 770. And Maybe after that a new Power Supply. Or first a new Power Supply and then the Graphics Card. Will This work? Im working but also my studies will begin 17 Feb full time, then i will not be able to save so much money to buy everything once, unless i wait and save up longer.

in this way i can keep up with new hardware.

your system is still state-of-the-art, and the next gen CPU will likely be ony a 10% or so upgrade in computing power. I wouldn't upgrade ANYTHING right now, except maybe add an SSD boot drive if you dont have one.

save up for a new system in a couple years instead
