Can you suggest me a wireless router under 50/60€ which is:

- supported by dd-wrt
- gigabit
- a/b/g/n dual band (2.4Ghz/5Ghz)

- +ac (bonus, not necessary)

I'm not interested in USB connectivity, modem-routers or any NAS-like capability.

Thanks.

I think that the TP-Link TL-WDR3600 is the best budget router that is dual band and supports dd-wrt. I've used a number of them in network setups and find them reliable and good.

Very good, I use them for wireless APs on many installations and the range is better than most name brands other than ASUS, the king of the hill but with a royal price. :)

What model/family of Asus router(s) are you speaking of?
Thanks for the heads up btw.

It is a range, depending on features from the ASUS RT-N56U (N dual band) up to the RT-AC68U (AC1900), excellent best in class for each but not inexpensive. I get to play with them a lot when I test them before a client install, and they are certainly my favorites, but they do take a bite from the budget.

Also, at this point there is only *one* 3x3 AC1900 wireless AC adapter, and ASUS but it is $100 just for the PCIe adapter. Every other adapter out so far is AC1200 at best, IMO 802.11ac is just not ready for prime time unless you just want a great wireless bridge.
