Hi, first post here. Having found excellent advice here in past google searches I believe this is the best place place to ask for advice.

Today I received a used (but very good condition and error checked) SSD which I intend to use to store Windows 7 and my programs. I connected it to a spare SATA port and power lead with the intention of checking checking if it had TRIM functionality and, if necessary, updating the BIOS to gain TRIM.

After booting back up, it runs for about 10 seconds before shutting down. After a few more seconds it restarted back up again and then shuts down again after another 10 seconds.

I removed the SSD and tried starting the computer but it is still stuck in this reboot loop. Nothing is displayed on my TV at any point but then it is connected via HDMI which takes a few seconds to complete handshake.

I have tried starting with no hard drives connected and also tried 1 stick of RAM at a time.

Any help in troubleshooting this would be much appreciated. Right now I have lost the whole system. Thanks in advance.
