Hi there, new in the liquid cooling scene, need some help straight forward help.

Got a amd fx 9590 on a sabertooth 990fx with ballistix tracer 1866mhz 2x4gb sticks, 2 x8800gtx sli, 1050watt psu.

I originally had a k2 doom cooler as recommended for cpu but was getting lock ups and heating issues, so I bought a Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 240 LT/ST kit and installed it successfully no leaks pc running OK.
Now I know this cpu runs very hot but I need to know is on running Occt stress test after 15mins the vcore goes to around 90oC and cpu temp around 86oC odd.
Also does anyone know the shutdown temp, idle temp, and load temp of this cpu, I can't find any info on temps on Google at all.
Any straight forward help would be great thank you

high vcore temps lead to throttling ind higher core temps from what I have read up on, I have the same board besides it being the r2.0 board, I mounted a fan to my vrm and it no longer goes over 70c now it is at 50-55 max under full load. Heres a pic.

I just got a 9370 from a 8320 and the VID is 1.512 vs 1.368 which is quiet a bit higher. My vcore is at 1.512 currently which is what basically yours should be at.

I would suggest adding a fan to the back of the cpu socket and one to the vrm heatsink as well as maybe some more to your case,

I remember I had to add a second 220mm rad to help keep my 8320 cool at 4.8 under full load. your waterblock seems pretty good as well as your rad.

hey hi, that's a good idea,
I have one fan at front pulling air in, one at bottom pulling in, 2 side pod fans pulling in, one pushing at back and 2 pushing air out from rad at top of case so all pretty taken up with fans.

Bit more testing last night (i to have the r2.0 version) i managed to tilt my chassis enough to get 4 more syringes worth of coolant into my reservoir and to stick one of my led fans i had kicking around cable ties on the 8 pin psu line at top of board (untill i find a better solution) and got better temps after only 7mins occt : without extra coolant and no fan :-71oC cpu/81oC vcore-1 - with resy topped up n 120mm fan on vrm heatsink:-65-68oC cpu and 55oC vore.

pic of inside and where i mounted fan on vrm

So it does help, so much for asus saying about overcoming overheating.
Thanks for your help.

i have to say that looks pretty cool in there with the colors haha. are you using a coolant premix or distilled water?

my water is shot i added die and water wetter to my loop and it foams so bad oops haha. doesnt cool like ti used to .

also what slots do you have your second card in? looks like its the last pcie slot. the black one is only 8x if i remember correctly
