Flash R9 280x Matrix Platinum on R9 280x Matrix Non-Platinum GPU

Can I ask why you would need to flash it? And what were you planning to flash it with?
The 280X cards are the 7970 cards from the previous generation. They are the best card available with that chip, the 290X is vary different in architecture and flashing a 290/290X ROM onto your 280X will ruin it.
Better to just overclock it if you're after more performance.

I might be flashing an Asus DC2T 280x with the bios of the Asus Matrix Platinum 280x Just so that I can get these two cards running in Crossfire. When I open CCC I do not get the crossfire option and only one ASUS card is detected in Device Manager. So I figure if I flash the DC2T with the matrix Bios... that will help it run in Crossfire and then I can enable Crossfire in the CCC.... Pray for me UGH !!!

@houldendub I don`t "need" to flash it, I just want to know if it`s possible, and if it would improve anything. It`s just this obsession for optimising and improving my build.
Also, I don`t want to flash to a R9 290/x, just from an R9 280x Matrix to R9 280x Matrix Platinum.

All I want is to know if I can get something else after flash, other than some manual OC that I can do myself, whick will happen after I get some better TIM and 2 Noctua fans to fit to my case that will blow directly on the GPU.
