Hi Guys,
I have a 8-port managed switch and on one of the ports I have a Wireless AP that is acting as a bridge. I monitor the AP remotely via SNMP but what I was hoping to do is disable the switchport and only enable it when the AP needs to communicate with the rest of the network.
Easy! Just turn off the port. Ok. The problem that i have is that I'd still like to be able to monitor the AP with SNMP whilst passing no other traffic.
So my question is, can I block EVERY port on the switchport, with the exception of the port for SNMP to allow just that traffic through?
