Hello all, first before I begin my question I will tell you my specs:
500 w PSU by Corsair (I think??)
Water-cooled Corsair Hydro
8 GB DDR3 RAM Corsair Vengeance
Intel 4th gen i5 4670K @ 3.4 GHz
Nvidia GTX 650 2GB onboard RAM (OC'ed +100 Mhz)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
So, within the past couple weeks my GTX 650 "crashes" I guess, during games, mostly during World of Warcraft and League of Legends, not BF3 / BF4 or any other... I noticed it when I started getting into Doge-Coin Mining with my good friend, he helped me set up a Doge Coin wallet and all that and set me up in his pool for his "worker/miner"
I started that up and I've been running the .bat miner EVERY OTHER Day for about 4-5 hours at a time, some days I run it all night with the fan blowing in my window (night temperatures get below 20 degrees Fahrenheit) so my GPU doesn't over heat, with the window-fan technique I see my temp's get up to 50-60 degrees CELSIUS, then when I turn the miner.bat OFF, the temp of the GPU sky-rockets down to 15-20 degrees Celsius....
It makes me sooo irritated, because it usually ONLY happens when I am either in a raid of World of Warcraft, or in a team-fight or something similar in League...
What I mean by "crashing" - is when I am in a game, is when it only happens, is my monitor goes black for about 5-10 seconds, the game sounds stutter, and then the game minimizes saying "Display card has crashed, would you like to troubleshoot problems?" but when I try to troubleshoot, it comes up with nothing helpful....
When I am NOT running the miner however, lets say for a few days without doing it, it doesn't "crash" as much, and the temperatures even under gaming load is absolutely gorgeous (Not running the miner for 3-4 days, crashes only 1 to 2 times, temperatures get at most up to 25 degrees C while playing games)
I would really like some help if at all possible!! Thank you in advance!
TL;DR Nvidia GPU crashes in games ever since I started Doge Coin Mining with my friends, need help
