Which game awards are like the oscars of gaming?

We have emmy award for TV which rated as the highest awards for a TV guy, then there is oScar which is rated as the highest award one gets in Film excellency.

But what about games is there any oscar like awards which are considered like the highest rated awards for gaming.

Is the spike Vgx awards the oscar of gaming if not then which ?

The Spike VGX is the closest we have to something like the Oscars that runs on television and dishes out game awards...but it's been largely considered a joke that the gamers care about more than the producers running the show for a long time.
