I have the z87-gd65 mobo, corsair cx600, 1tb caviar blue hard drive, and a disk drive. So will I need some extra cables for it? Like they both have an IDE slot so I'm probably going to have to buy an IDE cable? The hard drive also has a6 pin slot that doesn't seem to fit the PSU. So what do i need? This is my first gaming pc build, so please any help appreciated.:)

IDE is a thing of the past. I do not believe there are 1TB IDE drives anyway. You will need SATA cables to for the hard drive, which are usually included with your motherboard.

Your disc drive, however, might use the IDE interface (if it is very old). If it does, replace it with a newer. It is not worth it to get an adapter card, since I would be very surprised if your MB has an IDE connector.

For reference: IDE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integrated_Drive_Electronics
SATA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA#Cables.2C_connectors.2C_and_ports

Those are old IDE drives? Then you'll also need a PCI IDE card to interface with those drives.. Unless your motherboard has an IDE header (not likely).

I understand reuse, but you'd be better off adding a newer SATA drive to that. Faster, and less likely to fail.
Use the old drive for extra storage, maybe.

The Z87 GD65 doesn't have IDE ports, it uses SATA for drives, and the pins on your Caviar Blue are for jumper settings you shouldn't need, it uses a small L shaped connector for data and a larger one from the PSU for power - so not going to be using IDE with the mobo
