I have amd fx-8320 and I was wondering if overclocking it will provide noticeable results. I play games like skyrim, borderlands 2, and metro last light. How much would I have to overclock to get any results and would it be worth it? I am also planning on upgrading my gpu from a gtx 760 to a 780. Will there be any bottlenecking and if there is will overclocking help eliminate the bottleneck? Thanks for the help!

Should I not get a gtx 780 if I can't overclock?

What about putting the 760 in sli? I try running every game on max settings and I will usually get a fps drop of around 30 frames. Wouldn't the 780 take of the fps drops?

I would get a GTX 780. I'm a big advocate for taking your budget for GPU's and spending it on the best single card you can. First off, video games are going to get more demanding and you'll easily "grow into it" in a year or two. Then, if you desire more power in the future, you can simply upgrade the CPU/motherboard and then place another identical GTX 780 (which will at that point be cheaper) alongside your original in SLI and boom, huge power, and you avoid the "hit" of having to buy an entire new graphics setup.
