APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: ASAP

BUDGET RANGE: 150$ (must be at best buy, GC from Christmas) (cheaper the better though)

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: I do photo editing, light gaming (SC2) and also use my desktop to watch videos

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: (e.g., EVGA Geforce GT 430 and 600W PSU

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: AMD Athlon II x4 640 3.0 GHz, MoBo, 8 gigs of memory

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: best buy

PARTS PREFERENCES: whatever works

OVERCLOCKING: maybe? I don't now, but would be open to it

MONITOR RESOLUTION: (e.g.: 1360x768, and 1080p TV)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: HDMI and DVI (one of each needed)

I would think your GT430 should be adequate video capability.

For normal desktop operations, spend that $ 150 on a SSD or a second monitor.

Well, the best you could get is probably an nvidia gtx 650 ti, since all the amd cards are gone, due to "bitcoin/litecoin mining"

My apologies***I have an SSD and 2nd monitor as well.

Looks like I'm out of luck other than 650 ti?

Yes, a 650ti will be your best bet. But spend $5 of your own money on it and get this better, 2GB non-reference version.

Thanks for all the quick replies.

Will there be a big gain since the bus width is still 128 on both cards?
