notebook gpu change

hi,

i have an asus x552cl sx notebook with a nvidia 710m vidcard installed. normaly i know that it is not possible to change, if the card is integrated to the board.But i can not find the propher specification if this would be the case here.

so pls anybody could help me if i can upgrade my the vidcard in this notebook ? i dont care if i have to solder etc if it is possible please let me know and give me some specs about it.

I'm taking a guess here, but by my experience, since the 710M is an entry-level GPU, it will be soldered to the main board and will not be replaceable. The only way to be sure would be to open the laptop to verify.

well i can even "melt" the soldering points/pins if u can help me finding a guied. a good friend of my accidentaly bought this box @ the holidays and we want to see if there is any option to upgrade the gpus. the proc is 3337 i5. if it helps anything.

Couldn't find much info on that notebook, no disassembly pics or video.

If the GPU is indeed soldered on the mainboard, there is no way you will be able to replace it. It will be in a BGA package (http://www.equinoxefr.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/bga.jpg) and very hard to remove. Even if you could manage to remove it, your laptop board will most likely have been designed with the specific chip in mind, so finding a replacement will be near impossible. And if you COULD find a compatible chip, it won't be much more powerful (size, thermal, power constraints...). I'm afraid this is just not practical.
