G'day All,

I am about to build my first system. And below is the system id like to build

CPU -- i5 4670k
Mother board -- ASRock Z87-EXTREME3
RAM -- G.Skill Ares 8GB Kit (4Gx2) DDR3 2133 F3-2133C11D-8GAO
Case -- Thermaltake VN700M1W2N Overseer RX-I
PSU -- Corsair RM850 850Watt
GPU -- NVIDIA GTX680 OC 2GB MSI
SSHD -- Sandisk Ultra Plus 128Gb
HDD -- Seagate 3.5" Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
Monitor -- BenQ RL2450H 24inch LED Gaming Monitor
DVD Burner -- Samsung SATA 22x Black DVD RW
Windows 8 64 Bit

The reason behind choosing some of these parts is id like to water cool, SLI, and overclock in the future AND this is pretty much what my budget allows for at this time.

What id like to know from the community is, will it do just that?? Im fairly sure there will be enough room in the case for water cooling. And there should be enough room in the case for the GPU length ways. From what ive read around the internet the mobo cpu gpu all allow for overclocking

So if there is anything you guys can think of, or just some advice in general about the build let me know.

Thanks in Advance

Yeah AUD prices are crazy when compared to USD or CAD.

I would do something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($269.00 @ PCCaseGear)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($39.00 @ Mwave Australia)
Motherboard: Asus Z87-C ATX LGA1150...
Little overkill on the RAM, the OCed RAM won't give you any noticeable boost in performance. And I would get the 770 over the 680. You could also get a 600w or so PSU to save some money, unless you plan on adding another GPU in the future. Other than that, looks good to me. You'll love the 4670k, I love mine!

Actually that's not true, according to this article, Haswell scales better with higher RAM speeds: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7364/memory-scaling-on-haswell

No reason to get a GTX 680 anymore, you want at least a GTX 770 or Radeon R9 280X. PSU is also overkill for a single card. What's your budget?

Thanks for the quick replies Gents.

HiTechObsessed -- Yeah mate, i do plan on getting a second GPU in the future.
g-unit1111 -- My budget is $2000 Aus. As it stands im going to spend around $1965 so i have really push the limit of what i can spend.

I'd love to get a 770 but its an extra $100 at least and with everything else i just cant push the budget that far.

I picked the 680 because in 12 months i should be able to pick one up 2nd hand fairly cheap. This gives me SLI for a while and then in a couple of years i can then upgrade to a monster card or water cool and overclock.

Im trying to give myself a few options for the future.

That scales well with integrated graphics, but only a couple of % going all the way max with dedicated graphics.

OP, I didn't realize you were in AUS, sorry about that. Are the 770's really $100 on top of the 680? They're about the same here :( But if you plan on SLI, 2 680's will do nicely :) I would still save a bit and get 1600 RAM, unless there's not much difference there, I'm unfamiliar with AUS pricing lol
