Excellent signal (full bars), no internet (Linksys e1200)

Moved into a new apt. Took the same working router with me (linksys e1200). New apt has internet hardwired, so I can use internet from a direct connection from the Ethernet cable. I can't connect to internet and see full bars on network when router is connected. I reset the router and went to the router config page to set a password to secure the connection. Still no luck.

Please help!

So you can connect if you just plug the Ethernet cable into your computer directly with no router used?

If so, perhaps it would help to clone the PC MAC address to the router. Look in your router manual for specific details, but THIS is the basic way to do it on a Linksys.

Correct, I can connect by plugging the Ethernet cable directly into my computer.
