Can I run fx 6300 on a 890gxm-g65 msi

As the title says I don't really have the money to pay for another motherboard and a windows copy so is it possible to run a fx 6300 on a 890gxm-g65 msi.I mean theoritacally it has am3+ socket but I cannot find the power wattage it provides to the cpu so I don't know if it will be able to provide adequate wattage to the cpu.

sorry but that board does not support any of the fx cpus only up to the phenom x6

in theory it should work if they did a bios update since it says right on the board 140w cpu support

So is it true that you have to pay for a new windows if you get a new motherboard?

no it will ask you to re activate after you swap it out but you can opt to do a telephone activation and explain to them what you did and they will give you a new key to use
