Good Day!

First time poster here!

I would like to build a solid gaming system while taking advantage of small form components. The case I want to use is a Bitfenix Prodigy M (Micro ATX mini case). Would anyone have a decent AMD or Intel Motherboard and Processor that they can recommend for my case?

All help appreciated.

Thanks.

Asus Maximus VI Gene and Intel i5 4670k would be a high end gaming rig. On the AMD side, there are FM2 socket motherboards and put Athlon X4 750K on it. AM3+ motherboards don't have mATX form factor in you want to go FX processors.

Well I have an Asus GTX 780 Ti DirectCU II OC and its awesome. It depends on your budget. Some says that the 780 Ti is overkill for 1080p but with Metro Last Light I wasn't able to max it out on 4X MSAA all ultra settings. So right now, get the best GPU you can afford. For $350 = GTX 770 2GB, at $500, you have the GTX 780.

Thanks again for all your insightful comments!

One more question for you if I may. Can you recommend ram for the Maximus VI Gene ? I was thinking of getting some Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 2133MHz. But hells if I know that this Mother board can handle 2133 or 1600MHz ram. Do you know where I can find out?

Thanks again.

My friend if you want to check your device's compatability with anything simply go and check it's specs at the manufacturer's website.
And dude, it's a freaking maximus! Of course it can handle 2133!
