My monitor's native resolution is 1366x768 and the highest resolution when i installed F20 was 1024x768. I also had a problem with artifacts showing up so I followed this guide in hopes it would help me solve both problems http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2013/fedora-19-nv... however it only solved the artifacts problem. The monitor I have is a Samsung SA300 19' which has only a VGA output and my GPU (GeForce GTX 650Ti Boost) has only DVI & HDMI inputs so I have a VGA to DVI adapter. When I followed that guide I actually installed the NVidia drivers and turned off the default driver so now i have this sort of control panel called NVidia X Server and when I set a custom resolution (ViewPortIn and Panning set to 1366x768 I can't change ViewPortOut which is set to 1024x768+0+0) I get a blurry image even if i press auto on the monitor to sort it out, also in the menu of the monitor - information tab it says 48.4kHz 60Hz NN 1024x768 and below that it says Optimal Mode 1366x768 60Hz. Help ?

It could be that the GPU is conflicting with the monitor or the GPU has gone bad.

Haha, nope, I have Windows 8.1 Pro along with Fedora and believe me I play Crysis 3 without any problems. I think the GPU is more than enough powerful for Fedora :D

Sounds like your system is incorrectly (or not at all) reading the EDID from the monitor. It could be the adapter that you have to use. You're going to have to force X to use a specific resolution. This link should get you started: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Configuring_resolu...

I'm so done with Linux.. I updated the thing and now it says "An error occurred. Log out and try again". When I press log out there's only a black screen... so never mind.

And stay away from Fedora. I've yet to see a stable version. Go with Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu...
