After leaving my PC off for a week or so, I turned it on and the system speaker made a sound that was one long beep and followed by two short beeps. This repeats indefinitely, and there is no output whatsoever. The mobo is an ASUS M5A78l Series with an AMD 8350. PLS help!

A quick search returned these results.. You have bad memory. If you have more than 1 stick of memory, try removing 1 and rebooting, then swap the other to determine if only 1 is bad.

1.4.2.1 Memory issue: Beep (1 long 2 short)

A Clean the Golden Finger of memory

B Clean the memory slots

C Leave only one memory stick to test

D If convenient, please change different memory to test again

1.4.2.2 Graphics card issue: Beep (1 long 3 short)

A. Clean the Golden Finger of graphics card

B. Clean the graphics card slots

C. Try to test the onboard graphics card if there is onboard VGA integrated

D. If convenience, please change different graphic cards to test again

1.4.2.3 CPU issue: Beep (5 short)

A. Check whether the CPU is in our CPU support list

B. Check whether there are any damagers of your CPU or CPU socket.

C. .Check whether the CPU fan is correctly connected

D. Check whether the ATX_12V power cable is connected well

E. If possible try to test with another CPU

It's a memory error. Try clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for few minutes, or use the CLR CMOS jumper), then leave single RAM module inserted and see if POST-ing.

try removing the graphics card then putting it back in make sure your pc is upluged from mains electric before removing graphics card... 1 long 2 short beeps could mean graphics card failure but more likey the card just needs re-seating I had an old motherboard that had agp that kept doing that, turned out to be the pc cheap casei bought, it wasn't lining up with motherboard expansion slots so graphics card wasn't quit sitting right in the slot and if I moved pc to another location I had to keep re-seating the bloody gfx card, cheap PC cases should be banned lol but that was just my cause years ago. you may have to reseat your card more than once trust me its worth a try.. I've come across this issue more than once back in the day.
