RAM compatibility question

So i was looking through my ASUS M5A97 2.0 mobo users manual when I noticed my CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (1x 8GB) isnt listed on the memory capability section. Now on pcpartpicker.com it said it had no problems, but I need help from someone who knows something. If you need the serial number for the memory it is CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10B

Not nearly all compatible ram will be on the QVL list yours should work fine, over 99% of all DDR3 ram will work.

Your motherboard is capable of seeing 32GB of RAM in a (4 x 8GB) sticks of DDR3 memory and your stick will probably work. On the off chance that it doesn't, support will simply point to the manual and say it isn't supported.

would however suggest going to a 2x4GB set to be able to utilize dual channel mode which can provide up to a 10-15% performance increase, also look to 1600/9 or better DRAM for slightly better performance
