Fx8350 + GTX 770 = Bad FPS DayZ?

I'm honestly just trying to find out why I'm having such horrible framerates. I know the game isn't really optimized...I feel like it won't be either. But my gpu's load is 20% and cpu ranges from 30-50% while playing. Yet my fps is borderline 30 with lag spikes.

System
FX 8350 oc'd 4.5
GTX 770
20 GB G.Skill ram
H80i Watercooler
900w PSU

I am fairly sure that those framerates and CPU/GPU usages are normal. At least they are the same as me with a 4.4Ghz 2550K and a 680.
As you said the game is not optimised in the slightest due to it being in alpha and the devs focusing on adding game content and fixing bugs.

I would first disable any kind of overclock that you have on your system including the graphics card and try again. Your system should perform better then that in DayZ.

You're right. Now I can't even run the game above 30. I'm getting like 24. My life sucks. I blame amd.

told you not to remove oc's. put the oc back and lower the settings in dayz everyone has bad fps even the most high ends can only run it on mid at max

Not AMD's fault, blame the guy who told you to slow down your CPU. It will get faster, but it's in alpha, don't expect performance. Honestly, in alpha games you should expect it to be less of a game and more of a job where you report a bunch of bugs.

Couple things I did to up my frames-
Forced high priority and disabled steam overlay.

I still get spikes below 30 but they are only in large cities...Small villages and open terrain i can get as high as 45-55.

But this isn't an AMD problem...it's mostly server related. I know people with 4770K's getting the same frames all around and as Optimus stated he's getting around the same frames with generally the same GPU with an I5 clocked @ 4.4...

I know its not amds fault. Im not an intel fanboy and im not going to be. Be it seems that every decent intel pc can run it. Every streamer uses an intel for dayz and it looks fine. Its the same thing with Arma 3. I cant run it lol.

I have another question. Since the guy just had me delete my overclock....how do I know the exact settings to change in my mobos to get it back. I didnt save the profile.

I have all the same problems, nothing to worry about. All games that use that engine are badly optimized. just look at the performance to quality of that engine versus frostbite 3 or the source engine.

Whats funny is the Amds 8350 was put against an 3570k and an 3770k and while streaming it got better frames. however single core processing intel seems to be better. so they both have their advantages.
