I have AMD Athlon II x3 455 3.3GHz it used to run perfectly with my HD 6770. Since I gave my GPU to my brother for his PC. I though of getting a 6850 or 7790/7850. I don't have plans upgrading my CPU as for now. I currently play my games on 1600x900(native resolution) or 1280x720 on most games at medium/high settings and I don't have problems with my HD 6770. So I want to push more and get a 6850 or possibly the 7790/7850. My question is, will it bottleneck? What GPU can you recommend for me? Thanks.

might bottleneck a bit. 7790 might not bottleneck as much. you could still use a 7850 and it would work for most games but there might be a bit of bottle necking in CPU intensive games

How about the 6850? Well I'm torn between the 6850/7790. Probably this Sapphire HD7790 Dual-X OC Edition 1024MB 128bit DDR5. For performance I can say the difference is about the same between the 6850 but obviously better than my 6770 and fairly newer. So the bottleneck wouldn't be that bad? I normally play on 1600:900 and 1280x720 though. I'm not really sure how bottlenecks work but I believe its more significant on 1920x1080 and higher resolutions. Please help me I am so confused. :(
