I want to make sure where to put the 8G of RAM on the motherboard. I looked in the manual and I think I understand, but want to clarify with the experts.

Should be fine in either slots 1-3 (from CPU) or 2-4 (if it's a 2x4GB set, if a single 8GB stick, then either in 1 or 2, or if a 4 stick set - fill all four slots ;)
