Adding a backplate onto an MSI Geforce GTX 770?

Hey guys!

I was wondering if I can add a back plate

The bare PCB looks pretty ugly and I think that back plate would look rather ravishing in my case!

If not…does anyone know of any backplate that are compatible with this card from MSI?

What the hell is Palit and gainward custom PCB? Also I read some where these back plates are sometimes only compatible with a "reference design" card. What does that mean as well? Sorry i'm a total noob when it comes to this…i'm building my first PC…ever haha

If the Backplate says it only works with Palit/Gainward Cards, then thats all it will work with. Most likely the screw holes will not line up.

As far as Reference PCB goes, Nvidia designs everyone of their cards with a reference design for the PCBs. Some GPU Vendors create Custom designs for the Power, VRAM, Traces etc. I would only buy Backplates from the manufacturer of my GPU.

As far as I know only EVGA makes backplates for their GTX 770 cards…I tried asking MSI if they make one and they said no haha. I want a back plate so bad! It would make my set up look SWEEEET!

Make your own! Or something. If I can't find a part I want, I make my own. I just installed a strip of red LEDs by sticking some open wires into a molex. Looks great. LEDs are an easy way to make a computer look great.

Ignore my wire management, I've been meaning to get to that but there is nowhere to put them on my case.

Asus DirectCU versions also have a backplate. Not covering the entire lenght, but still...
