Best CPU Cooler For Overclocking?

Hi. I am looking to build a PC and I would like to overclock it so I need an aftermarket heatsink/fan. I would like it to not be a liquid cooler but if there is a good one I'll take it. My budget is around 50 dollars for this part and I'm using an Intel 4670K so any suggestions? Thanks.

  1. A 212 evo can probably do well.
  2. Well, if you want the best you will have to pay more than $50. E.g. Noctua NH-D14 is $82 at newegg

    Here's a roundup:

Basically, the NH-D14 is quieter and cools better than the Hyper 212 Evo, but it's larger and a lot more expensive. Both do a great job. The Evo is probably better value for money.
  4. Phanteks PH - TC14PE

I used it on one of my 2 FX8350 builds

Phanteks PH-TC14PE with Scythe Slipstream 110 CFM fans attached.
  5. For $50, the Phanteks PH-TC12DX, or the Thermalright True Spirit 140.
